<p>PURPOSE:To raise the charging efficiency of intake air, by covering a heat engine at least with a heat-insulating cover, and disposing auxiliary machinery of the intake system on the outside of the cover in an apparatus for recovering waste heat of a liquid-cooled heat engine by the cooling liquid. CONSTITUTION:In a liquid-cooled heat engine 10 using gas like city gas as fuel, exhaust gas is passed through a muffler 20, an exhaut heat exchanger 22 and an exhaust silencer 24 and discharged to the outside from an exhaust pipe 26, while cooling liquid is introduced into the engine 10 from a pipe 28, and after absorbing heat from various parts of the engine, is discharged from a pipe 32 via a pipe 30 and the exhaust heat exchanger 22. Almost the entire body of the engine 10 is covered with a heat-insulating cover 58 having a heat-insulating material 62 applied to the inner surface of its outer plate 60. Further, auxiliary machinery of the intake system such as an air cleaner 16 and a mixer 18, electric parts required to keep away from heat, and a control box 56 incorporating electric circuits therein are disposed on the outside of the heat-insulating cover 58.</p> |
