<p>PURPOSE:To perform uniform reaction, while reducing the short pass part of a raw liquid, by providing a plurality of circulatory systems each comprising a packed bed for circulating a raw liquid along a longitudinal direction only to an aeration tank and a sparger pipe for circulating a raw liquid to said packed bed, and circulating a raw liquid in series. CONSTITUTION:A sparger pipe 3 is provided in the vicinity of the lower part of a packed bed 2, to perform the circulation of a raw liquid inside the packed bed and the supply of said raw liquid to microbes adherent to the packed bed by the ejection of air through the fine openings of said sparger pipe 3. Hereon, one packed bed and one sparger pipe constitute one unit circulatory system, and there are two system of this kind adjacent to each other, one of which is the first system comprising a packed bed 2 and a sparger pipe 3 and the other of which is the second system comprising a packed bed 2' and a sparger pipe 3'. A buffle 8 is placed between said two system to circulate the raw liquid through the first and second circulatory systems in series. Hence, the short pass part of the raw liquid is reduced, the chance of reaction is made uniform at each part of the circulation, and the efficiency of reaction is enhanced.</p> |
