PURPOSE:To perform the rollings of width spreading, loose structure squeezing, and thickness reducing by a single rolling mill, by incorporating two pairs of work rolls containing >=1 pair of rolling reduction rolls for local parts, between a pair of rolls, in performing rolling. CONSTITUTION:In a rolling mill of a plate material 10 provided with two pairs of work rolls 4A, 4A, 4B, 4B to the space between a pair of rolls 2, 2, the rolls 4A, 4A are used as the rolling reduction rolls for local parts, for instance. That is, a local rolling reduction ring 8 is movably attached to a moving service shaft 6 of the rolls 4A, 4A. When a loose structure squeezing is mainly performed for instance, the central part in the width direction is intensely subjected to rolling reduction by the local rolling reduction rolls 4A, 4A, and the rolling parts at both side ends of the material 10 are successively subjected to rolling reduction by the same amount of rolling reduction by means of the flat rolls 4B, 4B located at the outlet side; thus the loose structure squeezing and the thickness reduction are performed by one pass. |
