PURPOSE:To prevent blooming and to improve the aperture rate by providing an anti-blooming drain at an interval of >=3 picture elements to the arrangement of picture elements and providing a filter transmitting light having a wavelength longer or shorter than that of green color to the picture elements in the vicinity. CONSTITUTION:Potential wells 1R, 1G, 1B correspond respectively to R, G, B stripe filters (not shown in figure). In this invention, the interval of boundary of each photoelectric converting region is equal to each other, widths WR, WG, WB of each potential well are different, a G filter is surrounded by channel stop sections 4, 4' and parted from drains 3, 3'. Thus, the color temperature of the sensor is, e.g., 3,200 deg.K and equal charge is stored in each picture element, then even if an object of 6,000 deg.K of color temperature is picked up, a picture element 1B overflows at first, the charge flows to the drain and no blooming is produced. Since the picture element 1R overflows at first in a converse case, blooming hardly occurs. Further, Fig. (b) represents a potential level on the surface of CCD. |
