PURPOSE:To read a signal charge without high speed driving and a high speed circuit independently for all picture elements arranged two-dimensionally by driving the 1st and the 2nd CCD shift registers in parallel to read out the charge. CONSTITUTION:The number of vertical stage of photosensitive sections (P1-PM) the number of vertical stages of CCD shift registers (C1'-CM') are the same with each other. The signal charge stored in the photosensitive sections is transferred to the adjacent vertical CCD shift register. Further, the signal charge stored in the photosensitive section is transferred to the adjacent vertical shift registers at the same time. Moreover, the two horizontal CCD shift registers I1, I2 are provided in parallel in addition to the vertical shift registers. A control electrode 4 is provided between the horizontal shift registers I1, I2 and the horizontal train signal charge transferred from the veritical CCD shift registers C1'-CM' is controlled by the control electrode 4 and written in the registers I1, I2 alternately. |
