摘要 PURPOSE:In a regulating device for delivery amount by opening and closing a fuel relief passage provided in a plunger of a fuel injection pump with a cylindrical valve member, to simplify structure and to reduce manufacturing cost by directly displacing the valve member with an electromagnetic means. CONSTITUTION:A fuel relief passage 11 is formed in a plunger 3 axially reciprocating and rotating by rotation of a cam disc 2. A sleeve valve 30 as a cylindrical valve member for closing the fuel relief passage 11 is provided with a cylindrical permanent magnet 32 integrally fitted on an outer periphery of a cylindrical sleeve 31 slidably fitted on the plunger 3. The permanent magnet 32 is provided with magnetic pole portions 32a and 32b radially projected at both axial ends thereof and magnetized to different poles relative to each other. A pair of electromagnetic coils 35 and 36 surrounding the magnetic pole portions 32a and 32b are provided in a cylindrical yoke 37. By controlling excitation of the electromagnetic coils 35 and 36, the permanent magnet 32, that is the cylindrical sleeve 31 may be slidingly displaced in its axial direction.
