PURPOSE:To prepare a standard serum which is stable for a long period of time without having turbidity by treating a serum for the standard serum with a prescribed water soluble high polymer compd. CONSTITUTION:A water soluble high polymer compd. expressed by the general formula ( I ) shown in the figure, for example, polyethylene glycol, PVA or the like, more preferably polyethylene glycol, more particularly, polyethylene glycol 6000 is first mixed with a serum, and thereafter the mixture is left to stand for about 10min at a room temp. and is then centrifugally separated for about 20min. The supernatant liquid is drawn by decantation after the centrifugal sepn. and is diluted to a prescribed standard serum value with a physiological salt soln. or the like. The turbidity in the standard serum can be eliminated by such simple operation and since the standard serum prepd. in such a way is stable for a long period of time, an exact calibration curve is formed by using the same and analysis of various components of the specimen with good accuracy is accomplished. |
