PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a recording head by arranging a side plate member made up of a side spacer the same in the material and thickness as a control electrode and a spacer interposed between the side spacer and the top plate to form an ink chamber. CONSTITUTION:A bed plate 2 is provided with a number of control electrodes 5 and a side spacer 7 made to same in the material and the thickness as the control electrodes 5. A top plate 1 is laminated on the bed plate 2 with a U- shaped sheet spacer 8 having a part overlapping the side spacer 7 to form an ink chamber 4. The undersurface of the spacer 8 is made flush with the top surface of the control electrodes 5 to make the fine width W of a slit nozzle of the ink chamber 4 uniform easily. The use of the U-shaped spacer 8 facilitates the formtion of the ink chamber 4 thereby achieving a simple and inexpensive preparation of a recording head with higher reliability. |
