摘要 |
The invention relates to a method for the differentiation and identification of microorganisms. The process according to the invention offers an entirely novel physical chemistry-based approach to the reliable, but especially extremely rapid and computerisable, identification of microorganisms, such as, for example, bacteria, fungi and viruses. Used for this purpose are techniques of infrared spectroscopy, with identification of the organism itself taking place by means of comparison data, obtained from suitably standardised infrared spectra of the pure microorganisms or mixtures thereof, by differential and/or derivative spectroscopy and/or computerised spectra-comparison algorithms. Besides the speed and reliability and the use of this for possible early diagnosis/therapy, the system according to the invention makes possible in principle a completely computerisable routine IR diagnosis method with a large sample throughput.
