<p>In a heat treatment furnace with crown-shaped transport path for work-pieces (5) bar-shaped carrier elements (2, 4) are provided, said carrier elements being vertical with respect to each other and movable in the peripheral direction of the transport path. The carrier elements are arranged substantially radially and/or distributed circularly or in a circle sector. A plurality of bars (2, 4) arranged radially are preferably assembled to form forked elements. The carrier elements may be arranged in a plurality of planes on top of each other to form a continuous or interrupted helical screw. For an equal furnace volume, the present invention enables a rate acceleration and a reduction of the required energy; it also enhances the useful value in comparison to pusher-type furnaces for gas treatment processes. </p> |
