<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the time for tape fast rapid traverse and rewind modes by obtaining the percentage of revolving cycle between supply and take-up reels to store the percentage in a memory in the rapid traverse and rewind modes and then obtaining again the percentage between both reels to compare these percentages with each other. CONSTITUTION:A calculating circuit 23 calculates the percentage between cycles Ts and Tt of supply and take-up reels 17 and 18 which are calculated by counters 21 and 22, respectively. A tape is driven to its center by a command of a control circuit 25 if the calculated result is smaller than 1. Then a command is sent to a reel driving circuit 26 to drive the tape at a high speed, and at the same time the result of calculation is stored in a memory circuit 24. Then a reciprocal number of the percentage is carried out. When this result of calculation is equal to the value stored in the circuit 24, a command is given to the circuit 26 to set the tape driving speed at a low level.</p> |
