METHOD FOR SUPPLYING LIQUID TO EXTRUDER

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of a crosslinking agent and an ageing inhibitor, by replacing the atmosphere above the liquid level in a liquid supply tank in which the liquid mixture of the crosslinking agent and the ageing inhibitor are stored with inert gas. CONSTITUTION:The mixing agent consisting of the crosslinking agent and the ageing inhibitor in a liquid supply tank 1 is heated and thermally insulated by the hot water from a hot water supply arranged pipe 3 and uniformly mixed under stirring by a stirrer 4. In order to prevent the crosslinking agent and the ageing inhibitor from deterioration due to heat and the action of oxygen in air, inert gas such as N2-gas is supplied above the liquid level of the liquid mixture 2 from a gas supply arranged pipe 6 to keep the part above the liquid level under an inert gas atmopshere. A liquid is supplied to an extruder 9 from the liquid supply tank 1 through a liquid supply arranged pipe 7 by the action of a liquid supply pump 8.
