摘要 The invention relates to the technique of electrical-discharge machining. The device forming the subject of the invention is of the type comprising a mechanism 1 for orbital movement of the electrode tool, in a balanced manner together with the electrode tool 2, by means of a counterweight 6 via a flexible link 3, and linked to the mechanism 7 for advancing the electrode tool into the machining zone 8 so as to be able to move along the direction of advance, and is characterised in that the flexible link 3 between the mechanism 1 for orbitally moving the electrode tool and the counterweight 6 comprises a damping element 14 eliminating the influence of the inertia of the counterweight 6 on the operation of the mechanism 7 for advancing the electrode tool when the stability of the machining is disturbed. The invention is particularly applicable to the manufacture of tooling such as forging dies of small and medium size. <IMAGE>
