PURPOSE:To achieve an electric corrosion inhibition with a strong coating film, by constituting a boundary surface between the engaging peripheral surface of bearing and a chamfered surface in a slightly tapered or arcuated shape and by spraying an insulating coating film of inorganic compound over the engaging surface. CONSTITUTION:A boundary 13 between the outer diameter surface 11 and the chamfered surface 12 of outer ring 1 is constituted in a slightly tapered surface or in an arcuated surface of increased curving radius for ensuring a smooth connection. An insulating coating film 4 of inorganic compound is defined with the thickness of about 0.1-3.0mm. over an engaging surface by spraying, and finished to a predetermined size by grinding. Because the tapered or arcuated surface has the coating film thicker than that of prior art, and consequently the mechanical strength better than before, the coating film is less subjected to damage when brought into collision with other member at the time of installation. Even if the coating film is partially peeled off at that time, it can still maintain the film thickness necessary for ensuring an insulation, and thus an electric insulating characteristic can be adequately preserved. |
