PURPOSE:To provide the function of moving a cursor, phrase by phrase, and to improve the operability of editing and input operations, etc., by providing a word processor with a skip key for returning the cursor to a position before KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion. CONSTITUTION:For example, an operator inputs a sentence, phrase by phrase, like ''watashiwa'' and then inputs ''kiyau'' wrongly instead of ''kiyou'' after keying a phrase key. In this case, there is not any KANJI-KANA mixed character string corresponding to ''kiyau'' in a KANA-KANJI conversion part, so ''kiyau'' is outputted. The operator keys the skip key once knowing the mistake on the display to return the cursor to the position behind the last phrase. This function is realized by providing the 1st cursor position storage means which indicates the current display position and the 2nd cursor position storage means which indicates the display position of a character string that is alreadly displayed. |
