The invention is a chain for transmissions with infinitely variable gear ratio, so-called variators. The chain comprises links (1) and pivot pins (2), which are designed with trichotomy so there is little chain pitch. The links are oval and symmetrical while the pivot pins are cylindrical with rotation symmetrical end surfaces (8).
