PURPOSE:To improve the processing efficiency, by storing the offset of each argument in a stack, which is the object of parameter reference, in a stack argument register. CONSTITUTION:First, a stack header HDY of a stack SY is generated in a stack header generating routine. Next, a bit length (m) constituting a maximum offset in arguments and a number (n) of arguments in a stack SX are extracted. If (mXn) is within the range of a constituting bit length L of a stack argument register SAR22, offsets R1-Rn are matched to the fixed length (m) and are loaded to the SAR22. A start address S of the master stack SX is taken out from the header HDY of the stack SY. The i-th offset Ri in the SAR22 is taken out. The address S and the offset Ri are added to obtain an actual address ADRi (=S+Ri) of the i-th argument. The address ADRi is used to access a main memory to refer to the i-th parameter in the stack SX. |
