摘要 PURPOSE:To improve operating stability of a vehicle, by a method wherein the center of a spherical surface of a ball part of a ball stud is displaced from the upper part of a center line of a shaft of an axial part and adjustment of a variation of a toe angle is simplified. CONSTITUTION:The center C of a spherical surface of a ball part 6 is displaced to a center line L of a shaft of an axial part 7 of a ball stud 5 by a displacement quanity S. When the ball stud 5 is revolved centering around the center line L of the shaft of the axial part 7, a circular locus T is drawn by the center C and the center C can be set at an arbitrary position on the locus T. As for adjustment of a toe angle, a nut 8 is slackened, fitting between the axial part 7 of the ball stud 5 and a tapered hole 4a of a knuckle arm 4 is released, the ball stud 5 is revolved centering around the center line L of the axial part 7 and the center C is set at an appropriate position to the adjustment. A connecting position of a side rod to a steering knuckle 1 can be adjusted longitudinally and laterally against a progressing direction of a vehicle as shown by an arrow (a) in a drawing.
