The present invention relates to impregnated electrical capacitors comprising plates 1, 3, 4, 2, 5, 6 made of double-sided metallized dielectric and a dielectric of the polypropylene type 7, the assembly being impregnated by a dielectric oil. According to the invention, capacitors are produced comprising plates of metallized double-sided polyester separated by a rough polypropylene dielectric with a roughness of between 0.3 micron and 1 micron, the assembly being impregnated by a dielectric oil.
