PURPOSE:To ensure a high-speed operation of a computer system by providing the 1st and 2nd interface parts, an instruction discriminating circuit, a control processor, etc. to a file control part and controlling a file device with no use of a host computer. CONSTITUTION:When a data access instruction is sent to a file controller 4 from a host computer 2, this instruction is fed to an instruction discriminating circuit 46 through a reception part 42a. The type of the instruction discriminated by the circuit 46 is sent to a control processor 48. The controller 48 supplies all block information sent from an address converting part 50 as well as the block number in an input logic address supplied from a buffer 44. Then the block information corresponding to said block number is selected, and the contents of the block information are read out to be sent to an interface circuit 54. The circuit 54 connects a designated file device 6 and the computer 2 via an interface circuit 42 to perform writing or reading of data to the device 6. Thus plural computers can share the same data file. |
