PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for forming a metallic vessel are provided to improve productivity of the metallic vessel by removing fault factors from an edge portion of the metallic vessel. CONSTITUTION: A metallic vessel manufacturing apparatus includes a fixing block(14) installed on a plurality of columns(12), which are fixed to a supporter(10). A ram(18) is installed between the supporter(10) and the fixing block(14) in such a manner that the ram(18) is moved up and down through the column(12) by means of a cylinder(16). A lower mold(30) is positioned on the supporter(10) and an upper mold(20) is installed on the ram(18) corresponding to the lower mold(18). The upper and lower molds(20,30) have a body processing sections for processing an inner portion of a body of a metallic vessel. A process margin is formed between edge portions of the body processing sections.
