PURPOSE:To attain the transmission of data between different types of devices by means of a single device and via a telephone line by storing previously plural types of transmission control programs and designating a program through an input means for selection of a transmission control program. CONSTITUTION:A mode is selected 8, and the information on a data transmission mode is stored temporarily in a buffer 9. Then one of transmission systems a'- c' is selected by an input means 1. The information on the data transmission mode stored in the buffer 9 is supplied to an area (m) of a CPU3. The CPU3 decides the mode information and reads the input directly from the means 1. Then the corresponding transmission control program is read out of an ROM2. Thereafter the arithmetic processing is given to the data sent from the means 1 and stored in an RAM4 in accordance with said control program. Then the destination of transmission is designated to transmit the data of the RAM4 to a telephone line via a transmission control means 7. In such a way, the transmission is possible between different types of devices with just a single processor. |
