PURPOSE:To make it possible to directly obtain an inspection result, by such simple operation that a detection coil is rotated to the peripheral direction of a cable at a constant speed and the output of said coil is plotted on a chart subjected to paper feed at a constant speed. CONSTITUTION:An inspection apparatus for detecting a wire shield 4 is equipped with a detection coil and, according to necessity, a purality of the detection coils 7 are arranged to the axial direction of a cable 1. The output of each detection coil 7 detecting a wire 3 is subjected to signal treatment, for example, by a treatment circuit and plotted on a chart as a dot by a multi-dot recorder 25. The chart of the multi-dot recorder 25 is subjected to paper feed at a constant speed and spreaded by extending and contracting the wire 3 onto the chart to plot the dot constituting a line. By this method, an inspection result can be directly obtained by simple operation. |
