PURPOSE:To improve the cost performance of a document drawing up device by recognizing a specific character code in a document fole as a graphic region designation code and calculating the graphic size from character and line pitches. CONSTITUTION:A character-graph synthesizing part 2 synthesizes the coded character data and a binary pattern data supplied from a medium input part 2a where a magnetic medium produced at a document producing part 1 is supplied and a graph input part 2b using an image reader, etc. respectively through a document synthesizing part 2c. Thus a character-graph document is prepared. In this case, a different special character 3 is allotted for each pattern within a page. Then the part 2 calculates the lateral size from two codes 3 in the same row and the character pitch and then the longitudinal size from two codes 3 on the same column and the row pitch respectively. Thus it is possible to separate and synthesize the designated size through the part 2b. |
