PURPOSE:To separate a sheet of paper attracted to a separator due to static electricity by blowing said sheet of paper being attracted to the separator with air from said separator, in a paper sheets handling equipment which groups paper sheets in every definite number of paper sheet. CONSTITUTION:When the hundredth bank note P is detected by a detector 10, a separator 31 is released from the locked condition and falls due to the tensile force of a spring 14. An assigned number of bank notes P being accumulated on a back-up member 33 in a loose state are lowered from a position incicated by one-dot chain lines to a position indicated by two-dot chain lines to complete the delivery of said bank notes P. Furthermore, an assigned number of bank notes P can be separated on the back-up member 33 with their orderly arranged stage being maintained. A number of minute holes 57 are provided on the bottom side of the separator 31 and compressed air from a compressor, passing through a pipe 58, a valve 59, a receptacle 50, and the separator 31, is blown out downward from the minute holes 57, separating the hundredth bank note P which is attracted to the separator 31 through static electricity, etc. |
