Appts. is designed to locate successive portions of a base track and a thermoplastic tape over a mould cavity on the crest of a mould which can reciprocate parallel to the track path sufficiently for the moulding process to be combined with a punch cutting process to isolate the mouldings before they leave the machine. Avoids need to relocate the track accurately in a subsequent machine for a separate trimming process, thus simplifying the process and eliminating problems due to dimensional variations of the track by stretching for shrinkage after moulding.
