PURPOSE:To obtain a transferred image of high density even on paper low in smoothness by using a specified compd. as an image density enhancing agent. CONSTITUTION:A liquid developer for electrostatic photography is prepared by dispersing a toner contg. a resin, such as styrene, and a colorant, such as pigment or dye, as an essential component into a carrier solvent, such as n-hexane, and further, a compd. represented by the formula: R-(CH2-CH2-O)m-H is added as an image density enhancing agent. In the formula, 1<=n<=20, and m is 3- 15. Said compd. is soluble in a petroleum type aliphatic hydrocarbon carrier solvent, it improves transferability of the toner itself, and facilitates attachment and permeability to paper. A large amt. thereof to be used does not affect polarity control of the toner unfavorably. A transferred image of high density is obtained even on paper low in smoothness. |
