PURPOSE:To efficiently print a continuous sheet in a desired length to be printed, by constituting the titled apparatus from such a mechanism that a sheet pull and supply part is provided to the downstream side of a printing part and the continuous sheet is intermittently supply to the printing part while pulled at every a predetermined dimension. CONSTITUTION:A printing apparatus is constituted from a first sheet storage part 6, a printing part 8 and a sheet pull and supply part 20 which is, in turn, constituted from an arc shaped pull member 92 provided to the outer periphery of a disc cylinder 90 and a pressure cylinder 94 mutually contacted with said arc shaped pull member 92. Prior to operating the apparatus, the desired length to be printed of a continuous sheet 24 is determined while the arc shaped pull member 92 is moved to the periphery of the disc cylinder 90 and a pull dimension corresponding to the length to be printed is set. Subsequently, the continuous sheet 24 is set to the printing apparatus to operate the printing apparatus and intermittently supplied to the printing part 18 at every the set pull dimension to perform printing. |
