PURPOSE:To eliminate dead space, maintain a high velocity of a steam flow in the entire range of a passage and maintain a high condensing performance, by a method wherein the sectional area of a steam passage with a plurality of perforated trays arranged in a step form in a shell as partitions is gradually reduced in the direction from an inlet port toward an outlet port. CONSTITUTION:Split trays 3 I , 3II, 3III at each stage are arrnaged so that they are inclined as a whole, and hairpin form steam passages 7L, 7H partitioned in a vertical direction are gradually reduced in the sectional area from steam inlet ports 5L, 5H toward gas outlet ports 6L, 6H. Therefore, although the volumetric flow rate of the steam flow is gradually reduced as steam is condensed into water, flow velocity is prevented from being lowered. Accordingly, a favorable heat-exchanging efficiency can be maintained in the entire range of the steam passages 7L, 7H, and high condensing performance can be obtained. In addition, since no guide plate is provided, space utility factor in the shell is high, and the overall height can be reduced. |
