Device for fixing a wheel decoration ring in the nave of vehicle wheel tyres, consisting of a clip made of spring steel which is bent to form a loop and has a freely projecting plane (flat) leg as well as a number, for example six, of receiving elements in the wheel decoration ring for holding in each case one clip, the wheel decoration ring being held clamped in an unsupported fashion by means of the clips which rest against the wheel nave from the inside. The receiving element is formed from a slot enclosed by two webs and the clip consists of a simple loop with a flat (plane) leg for insertion into the slot (6) and of a leg which is arched back over the flat leg in such a way that the inner width measured over the plane leg in the vertical plane only slightly exceeds the width of the web forming the slot. The clip is provided at the free end of the arched leg with a sliding shoe. The sliding shoe is formed from a bent-up portion of the free leg end. The legs are provided with individual claws and/or saw-tooth claws to be able to grip into the material. <IMAGE>
