SUPPORT DEVICE FOR LANCE PIPE OF SOOT BLOWER

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a large shearing stress and a bending stress by a method wherein the lance pipe is supported smoothly while it is rotated, by cutting roundly the end surfaces of support rollers which come into contact with the lance pipe. CONSTITUTION:The lance pipe support device is provided with a first and a second arm 15 and 16 around shafts 13 and 14 which are arranged in flat plates 10 and 11 welded to a side plate 12 of a channel beam. The arm 15 is provided with a couple of support rollers 25 so that the lance pipe 25 is supported on the surfaces of the rollers. In this case, the weight of the lance pipe is applied on the contact point D of each of the support rollers 25 with respect to the lance pipe but the top end of the roller is rounded so that the area of contact of the roller is increased to thereby control the generation of large stresses in the lance pipe.
