PURPOSE:To reduce the drawing space and to concentrate the control of working on one position, by running by a spun optical fiber in the spinning direction and the opposite direction and by successively carrying out coating and baking in running paths in the spinning direction. CONSTITUTION:Two groups 20A, 21A of guide reels are vertically arranged at a precribed interval. A spun optical fiber 24 is successively run through a plurality of guide reels 21 in the lower group 21A and a plurality of guide reels 20 in the upper group 20A. A plurality of coating dies 25 and baking furnaces 26 are installed in running paths between the groups 20A, 21A in the spinning direction, and the optical fiber 24 is passed through the dies 25 and the furnaces 26. Parts of the fiber 24 in the same running direction are brought close to one another. By this method the work efficiency is improved, and the drawing space can be reduced. |
