PURPOSE:To enlarge a control range of the air-fuel ratio to allow a higher output as well as economical operation for existing driving conditions by controlling the fuel injection timing based on the engine information which shows the engine operating conditions and the computed ignition timing information. CONSTITUTION:The CPU8 of a control circuit 8, after initializing respective circuits, executes the computation processing in accordance with a preset program as it receives sensor signals from respective sensors 16-20. For instance, data concerning the amount of air intake sensed by an air intake mount sensor 16 and engine speed sensed by a rotation angle sensor 20 are taken in, and based on such data, a reference fuel injection amount is computed. Further, the ignition timing is determined based on the engine speed from the rotation angle sensor 20 and the intake air amount from the intake amount sensor 16. Furthermore, a calibration is made with the coolant temperature data from a coolant temperature sensor 18 and others so that an ignition timing suitable for the existing driving conditions may be computed. Based on the optimum injection timing and sensed information from the sensor 20, the begining and ending fuel injection timing of a injector 6 are controlled. |
