PURPOSE:To obtain a stable image for a lith film at a low cost by forming a water soluble colored layer which is made insoluble under light on a transparent support, imagewise exposing the layer, dissolving and removing the unexposed part by washing, and dyeing the resulting image for correcting work. CONSTITUTION:A water soluble colored layer which is made insoluble under light is formed on a transparent support of polyethylene terephthalate or the like using a colored composition consisting of a film-forming water-soluble polymer such as gelatin, a photo-insolubilizing agent such as p-diazodiphenylamine, and a colorant. The resulting photosensitive material is subjected to contact exposure to active light through a negative original, and the unexposed part is dissolved and removed by washing to form an image with 0.5-1.5 density of optically transmitted color. The image is used in correction work, and the image is further dyed with an aqueous dye soln. to increase the density to >=2.5. The dyed image is for a lith film. |
