The workplace lighting fixture is to be constructed such that glare due to reflections does not occur when it is arranged on the front of a workplace, and in addition the workplace is to be illuminated uniformly. This workplace lighting fixture has an elongated housing (1) for accommodating one or more fluorescent lamps. Light exit openings (3) are provided in this housing (1), specifically on the underside thereof, and a light exit opening (5) is also provided on the top side. Light guiding elements (4) serve to direct the emerging light beams. The light exit openings (3) situated on the underside are distanced from one another in the longitudinal direction of the housing (1) and arranged at the end on the housing, and the light guiding elements (4) are fitted in such a way that they direct the light beams (10) emerging downwards towards the centre of the work- place. The exit opening situated above in the central region of the housing (1) casts the light beams (7) onto the ceiling of the room, so that these light beams produce an indirect illumination which brightens up the surroundings. <IMAGE> |
