Middle seal for heat-insulated windows and doors, which is made up of a plurality of individual pieces to form a sealing frame. The individual pieces are cut together with the profiled bars in a mitred fashion, the sealing profile having been drawn by machine onto the metal bar in advance. The sealing profile is anchored both to the metal profiles and on the insulating core. Parts of the latter are thereby assigned a sealing function, as a result of which the flexible sealing profile forms a functional unit with the rigid insulating core.
