PURPOSE:To select easily, freely an odd/even parity check by providing a parity selecting control section controlling the generation of a fail signal in response to the odd/even parity check. CONSTITUTION:The parity selection control section 4 incorporated with a dissident circuit 5 such as an exclusive OR circuit is connected to a parity check section 5. The circuit 5 is formed with an exclusive OR circuit or the like. When a check section 3 is constituted of an odd number parity, a fail state takes place at the odd number parity, and the output of the check section goes to 1, then the fail signal at the odd number parity check is outputted to a parity output terminal P by inputting 0 to a signal G. Further, in bringing the signal G to 1, because the check section 3 is set to the odd number parity check, the output of the check section 3 goes to 0 at the fail of even number parity check, then the fail signal at the even number parity check is outputted to the terminal P. As a result, the odd/even number parity check is selected easily, freely without changing the parity check section. |
