PURPOSE:To facilitate maintenance and servicing, by a method wherein a horizontal pin attached to a strut in a hatch, and a horizontal pin mounted to the end of a temporary car deck, are connected together through a link which is sized about half a mounting height for the temporary car deck and has oblong holes each engaging with each of the horizontal pins. CONSTITUTION:In a hatch 10 consisting of an upper deck 12, a lower deck 14, a strut 13, and a temporary deck 11, a horizontal pin 2 is attached to the side of the strut 13 and a horizontal pin 3 is mounted on the end of the temporary deck 11. By the use of a link 1 which is sized about half a mounting height (h) for the temporary deck and has oblong holes each engaging with each of the horizontal pins 2 and 3, the strut 13 and the temporary deck 11 are interconnected through their respective horizontal pins 2 and 3. Elevating, for a distance being about half the mounting height (h) for the temporary car deck, of the link 1 permits mounting and housing of the temporary car deck 11. This simplifies the structure of the link 1 and facilitates maintenance and servicing thereof. |
