For production of a human hand in prosthetics as well as for construction of servo manipulators, mechanical servo components are as a rule employed for movement of the individual finger joints, which components are actuated by one or more servo motors. Such prostheses are extremely expensive, susceptible to faults and require maintenance. The invention provides a movable element for construction of such a hand prosthesis or of a servo manipulator, which element consists of a hose piece which is closed on both sides, is slightly flexible and elastic and in which a tape, which is flexible at least over portions, is inserted and which is provided with a pneumatic/hydraulic connection. <IMAGE>
