PURPOSE:To permit the high-speed formation of stable ink dots by preventing the influence of pressure between nozzles by a method in which the wall face near the inlets of all ink supply paths of an ink chamber is made up of a pressure damper to absorb the variation in the ink pressure. CONSTITUTION:A pressure damper 8 of a flexible and soft film, etc., for absorbing the variation in pressures is provided to the side walls of an ink chamber 7. The pressure damper 8 may be provided on one side of the ink chamber 7 in parallel with the direction of an ink supply path 4 or on both sides of the ink chamber 7. When the pressure applied to the pressure chamber 3 is transmitted through the ink supply path 4 to the common ink chamber 7, the pressure is not transmitted to other nozzles because the pressure is absorbed by the pressure damper 8. Accordingly, the influence of pressure between the nozzles is eliminated and each nozzle can operate independently only by the pressure of each pressure chamber, so that a fixed shape of dots are stably formed at fixed positions and the speed-up of printing is attained. |
