The container comprises four vertical corner-posts. The four vertical sides of the container are made up of superimposed, horizontal slats bridging between each post and its neighbours. The corner-post is a metal, e.g. aluminium, section with vertically spaced pairs of integral wings. In each pair the inner wing presents a support stop for an angled slat while the outer wing is double-cranked to space the removable slats louvre fashion. The compost is well aerated and can be drawn from the bottom of the heap.
