PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and obtain many kinds of function, by storing the input value at each bend point and the output value corresponding to it for the purpose of approximating the V/F characteristic to a polygonal line and attaining the output value corresponding to an input value, which is not stored, by the proportional operation based on adjacent stored values. CONSTITUTION:An output signal satisfying a prescribed function relation, for example, a polygonal line-shaped V/F characteristic is generated in accordance with an input signal. This polygonal line is formed by a memory (ROM) 11 where the output value at each bend point is stored and an operation controller (CPU) 12 which performs a prescribed operation control. The input value at each bend point is used as an index to store a corresponding output value in the memory 11. The output value at the bend point at which the input value is stored is read out as it is; but in respect to the output value at the bend point at which the input value is not stored, the proportional operation based on adjacent output values of the input value is performed in the controller 12, and the result is used as the output value, thus reducing the quantity of data to be stored. |
