The flexible bending cable is used for transmitting axial pull and push forces in remote actuating mechanisms, and is for motor vehicle window lifting mechanisms. Helically wound wire is used to engage with a wheel. The cable core carries electrostatically deposited fibre layer between the wound helical wire windings. The cable ensures a good grip with the gear wheel teeth, and the cable core (2) between the working windings (3) is provided with a serrated helical groove (8). This groove has an arc-shaped cross section and its deepest point is at its middle. The fibres (10) are deposited at the bottom of this groove for improving engagement with the gear teeth (13).
