PURPOSE:To chamfer numbers of pipe pieces speedily and securely by conveying a specific-length pipe piece periodically through a screw conveyor, and holding it with a clamp and carrying out chamfering work with blades of a chamfering machine. CONSTITUTION:Numbers of pipe pieces P from a pipe shearing device are moved onto the screw conveyor 4 by a periodic feeding-out device and conveyed successively. Each pipe piece P is stopped by a stopper 9 and clamped by a clamping device 8. Then, the chamfering device 7 moves to the F-side end part of the pipe piece P through the operation of a cam 5, and a chamfering powder cleaning-away part 16 equipped with a rubber pipe 15 is pressed in the end part of the pipe piece P to chamfer the end surface of the pipe piece with two rotating blades 13. In this case, no chamfering powder enters the pipe piece P because of the rubber pipe 15 and is discharged by air spouted from the hole 18b of a shaft 18, thus performing the chamfering word speedily without damaging the pipe piece P. |
