PURPOSE:To obtain a hydrocarbon rich in aromatic hydrocarbon content in high yield, by bringing a hydrocarbon consisting of saturated hydrocarbons as a main component into contact with a dehydrogenating catalyst first, bringing the prepared olefin-containing hydrocarbon into contact with ZSM-5 type crystalline silicate. CONSTITUTION:A raw material hydrocarbon consisting of >=2C saturated hydrocarbons as a main component is brought into contact with a well-known dehydrogenating catalyst in the first reaction zone preferably at 460mm.Hg-10kg/ cm<2>G pressure at 550-650 deg.C at 0.3-3hr<-1> liquid hour space velocity(LHSV) so that it is converted into an olefin-containing hydrocarbon. It is then brought into contact with ZSM-5 type crystalline silicate such as ZSM-5, ZSM-8, or ZSM- 11, etc. in the second reaction zone preferably at <=20kg/cm<2>G pressure at 300- 550 deg.C at 0.5-10hr<-1> weight space velocity, to give a hydrocarbon rich in aromatic hydrocarbon content useful for preparing gasoline having high octane value and aromatic compounds. |
