<p>PURPOSE:To contrive to prevent a creep from occurring when a vehicle is stopped, by a method wherein a transmission is changed over to a neutral position when the vehicle is stopped, and when starting the vehicle, the intention of the driver is detected through the heel load, and the transmission is again changed over to a preselected position. CONSTITUTION:A selector 1 is provided with a push button A for transmitting a command for forward running and a push button B for transitting a command for backward running, and when neither of the buttons A, B is depressed, a non-operation signal for commanding a neutral position is detected. As a sensor 3, an engine speed detector or a rotating speed detector for detecting the rotating speed of an output shaft or the velocity of the vehicle is adopted. A load detector 6 is provided at the position where the heel of the driver is placed when the driver steps in an accelerator pedal 4, and inputs a signal to a controller 2 when detecting that the driver puts his heel on the floor 5 so as to step in the pedal 4, namely, when detecting the intention of the driver to start. Irrespectively of of the selection through the selector 1, a command for achieving a neutral condition is generated from the controller 2 to a driving gear 10 for an actuator 7, a spool 9 is moved, an operating condition change- over valve 8 is displaced from a position D to a position N, and a neutral condition is obtained. Also when backward running is selected, a similar change-over is accomplished.</p> |
