PURPOSE:To enable to recover enthalpy effectively from high-temperature, high- humidity air flow, by adding a process for impregnating and drying a wax or resin to the process of manufacturing a heat exchanging element. CONSTITUTION:An upper section 3 of a heat exchanging element constitutes a sensible heat exchanging section having water resistance while a lower section 4 constitutes a total heat exchanging section having humidity transmitting properties. The sensible heat exchanging section having water resistance instead of humidity transmitting properties is obtained by laminating partition plates and spacer plates made of a hydroscopic kraft paper alternately, coating a wax over the surface of the laminated structure constituting the upper section 3, and then drying the same through application of heat until it is half hardened. By manufacturing the heat exchanging element, it is enabled to recover enthalpy possessed by high-temperature, high-humidity air flow effectively at the sensible heat exchanging section and the total heat exchanging section. |
