by hydroperoxidation in the presence of a catalyst which is a C6-C18 primary amine or a poly(vinyl)pyrrolidone having a weight average molecular weight of at least 1,000. The hydroperoxidation of cumene to cumene hydroperoxide and of cyclohexylbenzene to cyclohexylbenzene hydroperoxide are examples. |
