<p>PURPOSE:To enhance adhesion between the clad and the core, by using as the clad a copolymer prepd. by copolymerizing a monomer consisting essentially of pentafluoropropyl methacrylate with a vinyl monomer capable of hydrophilic homopolymer. CONSTITUTION:A polymer to be used as a clad component is made from 60- 99.95wt% 2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropyl methacrylate 0-39.95wt% vinyl monomer copolymerizable with said monomer, and 0.05-10wt% monomer capable of forming a hydrophilic homopolymer. As said vinyl monomer capable of forming a hydrophilic polymer, ethylenically unsatd. mono- or di-carboxylic acid monomer, ethylenincally unsatd. epoxy monomer, ethylenically unsatd. carboxamide, and ethylenically unsatd. polycarboxylic acid are used.</p> |
