PURPOSE:To prevent an abnormal voltage to be applied to an MOS transistor by connecting a pair of C-MOS circuits to both terminals of a pulse motor, applying the output of a frequency divider via a flip-flop, thereby driving it. CONSTITUTION:A pair of C-MOS circuits C1, C2 in which P- and N-channel type MOS transistors P1, P2, N1, N2 are connected in series, are connected to both terminals of a pulse motor 1 for a timepiece or the like the output Q of a frequency divider 2 is applied to a flip-flop 6 which is formed of a logic circuit having OR circuits 3, 4 of negative logic inputs and an inverter 5, thereby operating the respective C-MOS circuits C1, C2 to drive the motor 1. Accordingly, outputs G2, G4 simultaneously become L level, and when the output Q is inverted, the both terminals of the motor 1 are not flowed from the ground GND. In this manner, abnormal voltage due to the counterelectromotive force of the motor 1 is eliminated, thereby preventing the damage of the transistor. |
